Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. has introduced a new digital monitoring solution designed to provide comprehensive facility-wide asset health tracking. The Asset Health Monitoring Solution – Rockwell Edition integrates with Rockwell Automation control systems to deliver continuous, real-time oversight of industrial devices, helping plants prevent unplanned downtime and accelerate troubleshooting processes.
The system goes beyond simple fault detection by immediately identifying problematic equipment and suggesting probable root causes along with recommended corrective actions. This capability enables faster resolution of issues, often without requiring physical intervention, as many problems can be addressed remotely. The solution minimizes field trips while adding remote configuration capabilities, advanced diagnostics, and preventative maintenance features to existing or future Rockwell system installations.
A key feature of the technology is its ability to display the real-time NAMUR status of every HART remote I/O instrument in a facility. The system classifies device conditions into four distinct alert levels: Failure, Maintenance Required, Function Check, or Out of Specification. Unlike some competing solutions, the platform supports monitoring of HART instruments from any manufacturer, not just Endress+Hauser devices.
Designed for scalability, the solution can monitor up to 10,000 devices across single or multiple locations. The on-premise system is cloud-ready and compatible with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) architectures, making it suitable for both existing operations undergoing digital transformation and new greenfield installations. Implementation requires no changes to existing control system programming and does not disrupt ongoing operations.
The system’s flexible architecture allows customization to specific industrial sectors including water and wastewater management, food processing, metals and mining, chemicals, and oil and gas operations. Different plant personnel benefit from tailored views of the data: operations teams can integrate preventive maintenance schedules, reliability engineers gain instant access to instrument health status, maintenance staff can filter device overviews by alert level, and instrumentation specialists manage configurations through a unified interface.
By digitizing asset monitoring and diagnostics, Endress+Hauser’s solution aims to help industrial facilities optimize maintenance labor, reduce operational costs, and improve overall plant safety. The technology represents a significant step forward in predictive maintenance capabilities for facilities using Rockwell Automation control systems.
