Makita is further enhancing its 40V/80V MAX XGT System by introducing 10 exciting new products. These additions include a cordless rotary hammer, miter saw, impact wrench, vacuum, outdoor power equipment, and a dual – port charger, aiming to handle high – demand applications.
Makita’s overarching goal is to make every jobsite completely cordless without sacrificing power output, efficiency, or runtime. Specifically, the XGT line is designed to create cordless alternatives to high – power tools that are commonly corded or gas – powered on jobsites. Currently, there are over 50 different tools and accessories in the Makita XGT range, enabling cordless tools to reach areas previously inaccessible.
New Product Highlights
Brushless 2” AVT Rotary Hammer (GRH06)
The new Brushless 2” AVT Rotary Hammer is making waves in the commercial construction industry. It offers 27% faster drilling performance compared to an equivalent corded model. Equipped with advanced Anti – Vibration Technology, it provides greater comfort and precision during operation.
This powerful tool can utilize two 40V batteries simultaneously to reach up to 80 volts of output. It is compatible with SDS – Max bits and is built to withstand tough jobsite conditions, thanks to Makita’s Extreme Protection Technology (XPT), which offers protection against dust and water.
40V Max XGT Brushless 10” Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw (GSL03)
For the residential construction sector, the 40V Max XGT Brushless 10” Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw is a game – changer. It cuts faster than many corded miter saws available in the market. It can handle crown molding up to 6 – 5/8” and baseboard up to 5 – 1/4”. The miter range is 0 – 60° left and right, while the bevel range is 0 – 48° left and right.
An L.E.D. light on the saw casts a shadow of the saw blade onto the material, ensuring an exact cutting line. The rail – forward design maximizes workspace when the saw is placed against a wall. Additionally, users can quickly adjust the fence and extension wings to provide proper material support.
Brushless 4 – Speed Mid – Torque ½” Sq. Drive Impact Wrenches
Makita has introduced two new impact wrenches: the Brushless 4 – Speed Mid – Torque ½” Sq. Drive Impact Wrench with Friction Ring (GWT07) and the one with Detent Anvil (GWT08). These wrenches offer enhanced fastening control and are well – suited for automotive, installation, and fabrication trades.
They deliver 810 ft – lbs. of nut – busting torque and 560 ft – lbs. of fastening torque. The 4 – speed power selection switch allows for precise fastening control across a wide range of applications.
New Outdoor Power Equipment
Makita is also expanding its outdoor power equipment lineup. The 24 and 30” Hedge Trimmers (GHU02 and GHU03) and the 24” Rough Cut Hedge Trimmer (GHU01) are the newest hedge trimmer attachments. The Brushless Couple Shaft (GUX01) power head delivers the power equivalent to a 30cc gas string trimmer and is compatible with a variety of currently available couple shaft attachments. It also features three speed options controlled by a variable trigger, enabling users to match the power and speed requirements of different applications.
XGT Brushless 4 – Speed Compact Vacuum (GLC01)
For those seeking a cleaning solution for homes or workspaces, the new XGT Brushless 4 – Speed Compact Vacuum is an excellent choice. It is compact, powerful, and offers up to 80 minutes of cordless cleaning on a single charge. The vacuum operates quietly, with a sound level of 65 dB(A) on high and only 54 dB(A) on low, making it much quieter than many corded vacuums on the market.
