Dyson has announced the upcoming launch of the Dyson PencilVac, a lightweight cordless vacuum with an ultra-slim 38mm diameter. Set to be available soon at Dyson Demo stores and online at Dyson.com.au, this vacuum claims the title of the world’s slimmest design.
The standout feature is its new Fluffycones cleaner head. It has four conical brush bars that actively eject long hair while cleaning, preventing the common problem of tangled brushes. The front brush bars rotate one way, while the rear ones spin the opposite way. This design creates a smooth, floating cleaning motion that works well moving forwards and backwards.
Another clever aspect is how the fluffy cones extend at the sides, allowing the vacuum to clean right up to skirting boards—something no other cleaner currently offers. Laser-like lights at the front and back reveal invisible dust on hard floors, giving clear proof that the floor is spotless.
Weighing only 1.8 kg and measuring just 38mm in diameter, the PencilVac is Dyson’s most agile vacuum yet. It can flatten to a height of 95mm, making it easy to clean under low furniture. This vacuum looks ideal for people who dislike bulky cleaners and could be especially helpful for the elderly.
