The European Commission has introduced a new regulation imposing anti-dumping duties on headless screws imported from China.
This regulation takes effect today, Tuesday, June 17, 2025, and will apply to all relevant imports entering the European Union from this date onward.
According to the regulation’s Article 1, Section f, the duties apply to iron or steel screws and bolts without heads, excluding stainless steel varieties.
The regulation covers these products whether they come with nuts and washers or not. However, certain types of screws are exempted. These exemptions include coach screws, wood screws, screw hooks, screw rings, self-tapping screws, and screws or bolts used in railway track construction.
The affected products fall under the CN codes 7318 15 42 and 7318 15 48 and must originate from the People’s Republic of China.
