Briggs & Stratton’s Ferris Commercial Turf brand is set to revolutionize grounds maintenance with two groundbreaking 2025 releases: the completely redesigned Venture X sprayer/spreader and entry-level 300R zero-turn mower. Both innovations will premiere at Equip Expo (October 15-18, Louisville) before hitting dealerships next spring.
Commercial Turf Brand to Showcase Innovations at Equip Expo
Briggs & Stratton’s Ferris Commercial Turf brand will debut two new products—the redesigned Venture X sprayer/spreader and the 300R Series zero-turn mower—at the Equip Expo in Louisville from October 15–18. The exhibits will be located at Booth 5016 and Outdoor Area 6480D.
Venture X: A High-Performance Sprayer/Spreader Built for Efficiency
Ferris has completely reengineered its Venture X sprayer/spreader, incorporating direct customer feedback to enhance performance, usability, and maintenance. Key upgrades include:
- Patented suspension system for smoother operation
- Stainless-steel platform and comfort knee pads for operator ease
- Integrated speedometer to ensure precise spreading distribution
- Five-gallon fuel tank for extended runtime
A standout innovation is the adoption of tool-free push-to-connect hoses, a first for stand-on spreaders, improving productivity by simplifying maintenance. Additionally, the relocated sump tank (now outside the frame rail) and quick-connect hoses allow for easier engine access and tank removal.
Powered by a Vanguard 18HP engine, the Venture X will launch in Spring 2025 with a price tag of $16,499.
300R Series: An Affordable Entry-Level Zero-Turn Mower
Expanding its zero-turn lineup, Ferris introduces the 300R Series, designed for smaller properties with a budget-friendly approach. Features include:
- 42-inch fabricated steel deck (12-gauge construction)
- Premium 18-inch seat and hydro-gear transmission
- Anti-scalp wheels for consistent cutting performance
- Choice of Briggs & Stratton 23HP PXi or Kawasaki FS651 21.5HP engine
With a three-gallon fuel tank and a compact design, the 300R targets homeowners and landscapers seeking an efficient, entry-level zero-turn mower.
The 300R Series will also be available at Ferris dealerships in Spring 2025.
Industry Impact and Availability
Both models reflect Ferris’ commitment to operator comfort, durability, and innovation while expanding accessibility in the commercial turf market. Dealers and buyers can experience the new offerings firsthand at Equip Expo before their official release next year.
