The Galaxy S25 Edge is winning praise for its sleek and lightweight design, but some buyers have raised concerns about its battery life. The ultra-thin profile has led to a smaller battery, making potential users question how long the phone can last on a single charge.
Samsung, however, is pushing back on those concerns.
In an interview with Tom’s Hardware, Blake Gaiser, Director of Smartphone Product Management at Samsung Electronics America, explained the company’s design choices. He said the Galaxy S25 Edge isn’t just about technical specs—it’s about the overall user experience.
Gaiser compared the S25 Edge to the “Goldilocks” of smartphones, suggesting it strikes the right balance between form and function. He acknowledged that Samsung reduced the battery size to achieve a thinner body, but assured users that the device is still engineered to last a full day under typical usage.
“The focus shouldn’t just be on hardware numbers,” Gaiser said. “It’s about how the phone performs in real life—and for most users, it gets through the day with ease.”
