Bengaluru-based startup Bolt.Earth has launched one of India’s first universal DC fast chargers for electric two- and three-wheelers. Called Blaze DC, the charger was introduced in Bengaluru and is aimed at solving the country’s lack of high-speed, interoperable charging options.
The Blaze DC charger offers fast charging for 12kW vehicles, delivering up to 120 kilometers of range in just 15 minutes, according to the company.
Bolt.Earth says the charger is grid-friendly, portable, and widely accessible. It supports Type 6 and LECCS Type 7 connectors to ensure compatibility with major EV brands like Ather, Ola, Hero MotoCorp, Matter Motors, and Simple Energy.
The Blaze DC is available to all EV users across India who own or plan to purchase two- or three-wheelers with rapid charging capability. The company aims to support 90% of fast-charging-compatible two- and three-wheelers within a year.
By 2026, Bolt.Earth plans to install 25,000 Blaze DC chargers nationwide, helping accelerate India’s transition to clean electric mobility.
