Dobco Equipment Ltd. has teamed up with Ingersoll Rand (IR) to offer a comprehensive range of advanced construction and material-handling equipment in Canada. The partnership leverages IR’s 150-year legacy in industrial innovation, including the Zimmerman brand of ergonomic balancers designed for safe, efficient lifting of heavy loads.
The collaboration introduces three key categories of Zimmerman balancers to the Canadian market: pneumatic balancers, intelligent lifting systems, and mechanical spring balancers. Each is engineered to enhance workplace safety and productivity.
Zimmerman pneumatic balancers provide precise, strain-free positioning, allowing operators to maneuver loads up to 2,000 pounds with minimal effort. These balancers feature easy airflow calibration for smooth float adjustment, overload protection to prevent exceeding rated capacity, and a centrifugal brake system that halts rapid cable movement if a load is accidentally released.
The InteLIFT series, part of IR’s intelligent lifting systems, combines intuitive controls with seamless vertical motion. Its force-sensing handle enables precise positioning of loads up to 1,000 pounds, with three adjustable speed settings for operator comfort and task flexibility.
The mechanical spring balancer lineup includes 50 models across five series, catering to loads up to 363 pounds with lifting heights ranging from five to nine feet. These devices feature simple spring adjustment for accurate load balancing, gravity-free operation to reduce operator fatigue, and safety locking mechanisms to prevent drops in case of spring failure.
“This collaboration ensures Canadian businesses have access to cutting-edge lifting solutions that prioritize safety and efficiency,” said a Dobco spokesperson. With IR’s proven technology and Dobco’s distribution expertise, the partnership aims to streamline material handling across manufacturing, construction, and logistics sectors.
