Festo Canada has unveiled its new PCRP filter regulator, engineered to withstand corrosive environments, explosive work zones, and extreme outdoor conditions. Built for demanding industrial applications, the stainless steel unit delivers high flow rates and precise compressed-air pressure control while meeting stringent safety and performance standards.
Constructed entirely from premium 316L stainless steel, the PCRP resists corrosion even in hydrogen-sulfide-rich environments common in petrochemical operations. Its UV-resistant design ensures reliable outdoor performance across a wide temperature range, from -60°C to 80°C. The compact unit combines filtration and pressure regulation in a single space-saving package, eliminating the need for additional components.
With a maximum flow rate of 4,115 litres per minute, the PCRP offers flexible filtration options at either 5 or 40 micrometres to meet various ISO 8573 air-quality requirements. A patented seal technology prevents backflow while maintaining efficient exhaust function without special accessories. Installation is simplified through dual pressure gauge connections, allowing for in-line mounting or bracket attachment. The regulator is compatible with Festo’s PAGN pressure gauge and features ¼-inch or ½-inch G/NPT pneumatic connections.
Additional performance benefits include superior particle separation, minimal hysteresis for precise regulation, eight interchangeable filter cartridges, and two adjustable pressure ranges (7-12 bar). Designed for Zones 1, 2, 21, and 22 hazardous locations, the PCRP meets NACE MR0175 material standards, making it suitable for oil and gas, chemical processing, and other heavy industries where durability and safety are paramount.
The launch reinforces Festo’s position as a provider of rugged pneumatic solutions for challenging work environments, offering maintenance efficiency and long-term reliability in a single integrated unit.
