A beloved hardware store in West Seattle is entering a new chapter. After serving the community for 70 years, Junction Hardware is set to celebrate its grand reopening as Junction Ace Hardware on June 28. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will feature special deals and community-focused activities.
The store’s rebrand began in late 2024 and was completed in early 2025. Previously known as Junction True Value Hardware, the store made the change after True Value was sold to a private-equity firm and shifted away from its cooperative business model.
Store owner Bruce Davis decided to affiliate with Ace Hardware to return to a cooperative structure. This means member stores, like Junction Ace Hardware, can once again share in profits and have more independence in how they operate.
The change also brings several improvements. Customers can now enjoy a better online shopping experience, a wider selection of products—including grilling gear and power tools—and new services like handyman support.
Despite the name change, the store remains locally owned and committed to serving the West Seattle community.
The June 28 grand reopening will offer fun for all ages, along with exclusive deals and a chance for neighbors to reconnect with a store that has long been part of their daily lives.
