Greenworks, a leader in environmentally friendly outdoor power equipment (OPE), has unveiled its latest innovation: a new line of battery-powered zero-turn mowers designed for commercial use. Under the slogan “Redefining Zero,” these mowers eliminate gas dependency and emissions while delivering high performance.
The lineup includes a 48-inch stand-on model and a 60-inch ride-on model, both powered by Greenworks’ 82V, 13.8kW lithium-ion battery system. Certified by Underwriters Laboratory (UL), they are the only mowers of their kind on the market with this distinction.
Performance and Features
The 48-inch stand-on mower offers 6 hours of continuous runtime, while the 60-inch ride-on model provides 4.5 hours. Both feature 1.5kW brushless blade motors and 1.7kW brushless drive motors, ensuring powerful cutting performance.
Speed & Efficiency: The stand-on model reaches 10 MPH, while the ride-on version hits 16 MPH. Blade speeds go up to 3,200 RPM in Turbo mode.
Durability: Steel decks and tubular frames ensure long-lasting use.
Smart Controls: Both models include LED headlights and LCD control panels, with automatic height adjustment on the ride-on version.
Warranty: Buyers receive a 3-year battery and motor warranty and a 2-year frame warranty.
Pricing and Availability
While pricing details remain undisclosed, Greenworks emphasizes that these mowers are built for commercial-grade durability and efficiency. Charge times are estimated at 10 hours, with operation possible in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 104°F.
