Easee, a leader in smart electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has joined the Mercury Consortium initiative to create interoperable, grid-ready standards for EV chargers. Partnering with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and other industry leaders, Easee is contributing to the development of flexible, consumer-friendly charging technologies.
At the Mercury Innovation Symposium in New York City, the Consortium revealed preliminary technical requirements aimed at enabling chargers to:
Respond dynamically to grid signals
Support demand flexibility
Empower consumers with enhanced control over their energy consumption
Easee stands out as one of the first manufacturers to actively support and align with these standards, ensuring their chargers are interoperable, responsive, and ready for the future energy landscape.
