They unveiled their new DEWALT POWERSHIFT™ line, a cordless solution poised to compete directly with traditionally gas – powered construction equipment. After months of waiting, the time has come, and the DEWALT POWERSHIFT™ line is now available for pre – sale!
The Powerhouse Battery
At the core of the DEWALT POWERSHIFT™ line is the 554Wh Battery (DCBPS0554), priced at $849. This battery is a game – changer. It delivers 28% more power than gas and outperforms other cordless platforms. With the equivalent power of a 6.5 horsepower gas engine, it generates an impressive 5,000 watts of continuous power. This means that contractors can tackle tough jobs with ease, knowing they have a reliable and powerful energy source.
Adapter for Compatibility
DeWalt has also introduced an Adapter (DCAFVPS) for $219. This adapter allows users to use a 60V FLEXVOLT battery on the DEWALT POWERSHIFT™ line. While it provides about 15 minutes of extra runtime, its real value lies in its ability to offer compatibility between existing FLEXVOLT tools and the new DEWALT POWERSHIFT™ equipment. Although it won’t be available until early 2025, this adapter is a promising addition for those who want to expand their tool kit’s versatility.
The Forward Plate Compactor
The Forward Plate Compactor (DCPS7154AG2), priced at $5,199, is a force to be reckoned with. It can cover over 1,300 linear feet per charge and packs 3,370 pounds of impact force. With dual – speed options, it offers versatility for various applications. Its top speed of 89 ft/min makes it a true workhorse for large job sites, efficiently compacting materials and ensuring a stable foundation for construction projects.
Fast – Charging Charger
To keep the POWERSHIFT tools running, DEWALT offers the 550W Charger (DCBPSC0550) for $349. This charger stands out for its ability to fully charge the POWERSHIFT battery in just 60 minutes, which is 50% faster than competitors. It is designed with productivity in mind and is compatible with DeWalt’s ToughSystem 2.0. Additionally, it can be mounted for easy use on the go, allowing contractors to quickly recharge their tools and get back to work without delays.
Concrete Vibrator Heads and Shafts
DeWalt also offers a range of Concrete Vibrator Heads and Shafts priced from 889.99. These accessories are 85% more efficient compared to traditional models, ensuring that contractors have the right tools for any job. Whether it’s ensuring proper consolidation of concrete or other related tasks, these vibrators will get the job done effectively.
A Note on the 14” Cut – Off Saw
One notable absence in the current DEWALT POWERSHIFT™ lineup is a 14” cut – off saw, a staple on many job sites. However, DeWalt has acknowledged this gap and is working on it. We can expect to see this essential tool in the future, further enhancing the completeness of the DEWALT POWERSHIFT™ line.
