Multiple departments responded to a large fire in southeastern Wisconsin on Saturday, May 10, after a lawnmower sparked a blaze inside a detached garage.
At approximately 4:55 p.m., fire crews, including those from the Kansasville Fire & Rescue Department, were dispatched to the 400 block of CTH BD (South Beaumont Avenue) in Kansasville. Upon arrival, they found the single-story garage fully engulfed in flames, located about 600 feet from the paved CTH BD roadway.
Shortly after, explosions were heard, and the overhead garage door was blown outward.
Firefighters worked quickly, using roughly 25,000 gallons of water and five gallons of foam to extinguish the flames. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire was linked to a lawnmower. The exact amount of property damage was not provided.
