Manufacturing plants can reduce downtime and improve energy efficiency with Ingersoll Rand’s new Ecoplant. This advanced platform controls compressors and helps businesses optimize their operations.
Ecoplant works by continuously monitoring compressed air systems and making real-time adjustments to meet changing demand. This not only reduces energy costs but also lowers carbon emissions by improving system efficiency. The platform can also detect maintenance issues early, helping to prevent potential failures.
The system is easy to install and works with all types of compressors, especially those with capacities of 300kW or more. It can be used with models from other manufacturers and can even be retrofitted to existing systems.
Ecoplant monitors compressor performance and alerts users to any risks of failure. This proactive approach allows for quick maintenance, minimizing unplanned downtime and boosting productivity. Additionally, the system helps stabilize pressure levels and ensures that only the necessary amount of energy is used, cutting down on energy consumption.
Keith Findlay, Technical Account Manager at Ingersoll Rand, explained: “Ecoplant stands out by using machine learning to monitor systems 24/7 and adjust to production changes. This real-time approach makes a big difference in efficiency.”
For example, a typical automotive plant in the UK can save between £217,000 and £278,000 each year by using Ecoplant. These savings come from smarter efficiency, fewer production risks, and less time spent on manual maintenance.
Ecoplant also offers a customizable dashboard that provides real-time data and energy insights, helping manufacturers make informed decisions on the shop floor.
