Milwaukee has recently introduced new additions to its Mechanics Hand Tool lineup: Flex Head Ratcheting Combination Wrenches. These wrenches build on the familiar design of traditional combination wrenches, adding flexibility to reach tight and hard – to – reach spaces.
Enhanced Maneuverability
The key feature of these wrenches is their flexible heads. In industries such as transportation, automotive, aviation, repair, electrical work, and remodeling, combination wrenches are essential. The 2.5 – degree arc swing and 144 possible ratcheting positions of the new Flex Head Combination Wrenches grant users significantly better access to difficult nuts and bolts.
Durable Ratcheting Mechanism
In addition to the pivoting head, these wrenches are designed to withstand repeated use in high – torque situations. The ratchet mechanisms now incorporate double – stacked pawls. This innovation not only extends the ratchet’s lifespan but also prevents the tool from wearing down with each use. High – torque applications often cause nuts and bolts to round off or get stripped during fastening or loosening. However, the open end of the Flex Head wrenches features Milwaukee’s Max Bite grip, which provides up to 25% more torque and greatly reduces the likelihood of rounding and stripping.
Adjustable Head Tension
The Flex Head can be adjusted to the user’s preferred tension, allowing the head to be locked in place or kept flexible. Each wrench is equipped with a set screw for easy loosening or tightening of the head. If necessary, a hex key or hex driver can also be used for adjustments.
SAE and Metric Flex Head Wrench Sets
The Flex Head Wrenches are available in both SAE and metric sizing options, and can be purchased as full sets or individual wrenches.
The 15 – piece sets come in a tray designed for steel storage drawers, ensuring efficient storage with no wasted space. The metric set includes 8MM through 22MM combination wrenches, while the SAE set contains 1/4″ through 1″ wrenches, covering a wide range of applications.
