CHARGE ZONE Becomes India’s Largest EV Charging Platform

by Harry

CHARGE ZONE has officially surpassed a major milestone, becoming India’s largest electric vehicle (EV) charging platform. The company now operates over 13,500 charging stations across the country, marking a significant step in the expansion of EV infrastructure. This growth has been fueled by strategic roaming agreements using the Open Charge Point Interface (OCPI) protocol, which enables interoperability among multiple service providers like Statiq, Bolt, Kazam, Pulse Energy, Chargemod, ElectreeFi, and Evnnovator. As a result, EV users can access thousands of chargers through a single mobile app, improving both reliability and user experience.

The platform now supports over 8,000 daily active users and has achieved nearly 2.5 lakh app downloads. With around 70 percent of India’s electric car users having engaged with CHARGE ZONE at some point, the company has reached an impressive scale. Its charging infrastructure includes a variety of AC and DC chargers, from home-level 3.3kW units to ultra-fast 360kW chargers designed for highways and commercial fleets. Notably, its DC fast chargers can deliver up to 80% charge in just 30 minutes, catering to the growing needs of the EV sector.
