ENGIE North America has partnered with CBRE Investment Management to develop and manage a 2.4 gigawatt (GW) battery storage portfolio across Texas and California, marking one of ENGIE’s largest operating partnerships in the United States to date.
The portfolio includes 31 operational energy storage projects located within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and California Independent System Operator (CAISO) grids.
ENGIE, a global energy company headquartered in Courbevoie, France, is known for its investments in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure. Its North American division is based in Houston, Texas.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen ENGIE’s growing presence in the U.S. clean energy sector, while providing CBRE IM-managed funds with access to a critical piece of energy transition infrastructure.
