The City of Windhoek recently donated a compressor worth N$22,383 to the Rehoboth Town Council.
Deputy Mayor Cornvenus Klazen expressed enthusiasm about the donation, calling it an important step in boosting cooperation between municipalities.
Klazen said the compressor will greatly improve Rehoboth’s ability to maintain infrastructure, carry out roadworks, and provide utility services—especially at night when lighting can be a challenge.
“This donation will help us develop our town,” Klazen said. “It is more than just equipment; it represents solidarity and a shared commitment to better service delivery and community growth.”
Klazen thanked the City of Windhoek for recognizing Rehoboth’s operational needs and responding generously. He added that the gift encourages further collaboration toward local development goals.
Resident Aurora Millers also praised the donation, saying it shows Windhoek’s care for Rehoboth’s progress.
“We are happy to see towns supporting each other. This positive step will help make Rehoboth a better place,” Millers said. “It proves that even from different towns, we can work together to make our country stronger.”
