Known for its 24/7 service, affordable food, and thousands of roadside locations, Waffle House is soon adding another reason for travelers to stop in: electric vehicle (EV) fast charging stations.
Partnering with BP Pulse, the EV charging network operated by energy giant BP, Waffle House plans to install 400-kilowatt DC fast chargers at diners across the South and Southeast, including states like Texas, Georgia, and Florida. While BP Pulse has not disclosed the total number of locations to be equipped, an initial batch of 50 sites is already underway.
Each installation will feature six EV charging bays capable of rapidly charging vehicles. BP Pulse’s 400 kW chargers can recharge an EV battery to 80% capacity in as little as 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the vehicle and battery size.
The chargers will support both Combined Charging System (CCS) and North American Charging Standard (NACS) connectors, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of EV models.
The rollout is slated to begin in 2026, bringing convenient, fast charging options to drivers taking breaks at Waffle House’s iconic diners.
