On the 26th, Dyson unveiled the PencilVac™, the world’s thinnest wireless vacuum cleaner with a sleek diameter of just 38mm. This slim design showcases Dyson’s latest technology, including a new “FluppyCones™” cleaning head featuring four conical nylon brushes.
Dyson explained that the cleaning head rotates 360 degrees, allowing it to clean long hair without tangling. Users no longer need to manually cut or remove hair from the brush. The brush also extends to the sides, ensuring edges are thoroughly cleaned. A green LED light illuminates fine dust on the floor, helping users spot and remove even the smallest particles.
Weighing only 1.8kg, the PencilVac™ is powered by Dyson’s new ultra-small Hyperdimium™ motor, measuring just 28mm in diameter. This motor spins at an impressive 140,000 revolutions per minute, making it the fastest motor in Dyson’s history.
James Dyson, founder and senior engineer, said, “Creating a vacuum cleaner just 38mm wide was a long-standing challenge. To achieve this, we developed the ultra-small Hyperdimium™ motor. Its unique design features four conical brush bars rotating in opposite directions, gliding smoothly on floors and delivering excellent cleaning even in tight corners.”
