Australian battery manufacturer Zenaji has launched a global licensing model. This allows international partners to manufacture and rebrand its proprietary Aeon and Eternity lithium titanate oxide (LTO) energy storage systems.
Zenaji says this move is a major step in its international growth strategy. It aims to promote local manufacturing in key markets worldwide. The goal is to support decentralized energy solutions, improve energy resilience, and create jobs through advanced technology transfer.
The company claims it may be the first battery maker to offer such a licensing model globally. Zenaji promotes its batteries as the world’s best in efficiency, longevity, reliability, and safety.
Charles van Dongen, Zenaji’s Director and Chief Technology Officer, explained that the LTO chemistry gives their batteries a safety and performance advantage.
“Zenaji’s lithium titanate oxide batteries resist thermal runaway, support rapid charging, and have a much longer cycle life,” van Dongen said.
He added that the Aeon battery has a capacity of 2.02 kWh. The Eternity is a scalable platform, starting from 36.3 kWh to 44.9 kWh per module, which can be expanded to gigawatt-scale installations.
