Sir James Dyson unveiled the industry’s slimmest cordless vacuum cleaner, named the Pencilback Fluffycones. This new vacuum features a slim body handle with a diameter of just 38mm and weighs only 1.8 kilograms.
Dyson explained that the vacuum’s head can rotate a full 360 degrees. This design prevents hair from tangling in the brush, eliminating the need for users to cut or remove hair by hand.
The brush also extends to the side, allowing it to clean edges effectively without missing any spots. A green LED light highlights even the finest dust on the floor, helping users clean more thoroughly.
The slim design was made possible by Dyson’s development of a new ultra-small Hyperdimium motor with a diameter of only 28mm. This motor spins at 140,000 rotations per minute, making it the fastest motor Dyson has ever created for a vacuum cleaner.
“Creating a vacuum cleaner with a 38mm diameter has been a long-standing challenge,” said Dyson. “To achieve this, we developed a new ultra-small Hyperdimium motor. The vacuum also features four conical brush bars that rotate in opposite directions, gliding smoothly over the floor and providing excellent cleaning performance in every corner.”
