Aldi is set to launch its new Robotic Mower in UK stores on May 1st as part of its Specialbuy offers. Upon closer inspection, the product is identified as the Yard Force MB400, rebranded under a different name.
The Aldi Robotic Mower will be priced at £199.99, offering shoppers a significant discount. The Yard Force MB400 typically retails for £449.99, which means Aldi’s offering provides a £250 saving or a 55% discount. This price makes it the lowest available for the product, with the next best deals found at Wilko (£379) and Amazon (£399.99).
At this budget-friendly price point, the Yard Force MB400 comes with basic features, designed for smaller gardens of up to 400 m² (~4,300 ft²). It uses simple navigation technology, which requires a boundary wire up to 100 m (~330 ft) to guide the robot. The mower is equipped with sensors to detect and avoid obstacles, as well as to prevent tipping over. It can handle slopes with an incline of up to 30%. The mower’s 16 cm (~6.3 inch) cutting width is powered by three steel blades, and regular use will leave tiny grass clippings, which can naturally fertilize the lawn.
