Dreame has introduced the L40 Ultra AE, a more affordable version of its original L40 Ultra robot vacuum and mop, to the European market. Compared to the original model launched in October 2024, the L40 Ultra AE offers several key differences:
Increased Suction Power: The AE model boasts a stronger suction of 19,000Pa, up from 11,000Pa, though the exact comparability of these figures remains unclear.
Brush Design: It replaces the original’s extendable, liftable side brush with a static side brush, potentially reducing its ability to clean corners and edges effectively.
Size & Capacity: The AE is slimmer at 97 mm tall (3.8 inches) versus 103.8 mm (4.1 inches), while maintaining the same 350 mm (13.8 inches) width. Its dustbin capacity has increased slightly from 300 ml to 395 ml.
Enhanced Docking Station: The self-cleaning dock now uses hotter water (75°C / 167°F) to clean the mop and dries it with hot air. It also automatically empties the dustbin and refills water tanks, with optional home plumbing integration.
This new model balances power, size, and convenience, offering a strong alternative for European consumers seeking efficient automated cleaning at a lower price point.
