Seventeen States Sue Trump Administration Over Frozen EV Charging Funds

Seventeen states are suing the Trump administration for freezing billions of dollars allocated for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

These funds were intended to help build charging stations along highways and in underserved areas, making EVs more practical for everyday use.

California, Colorado, and Washington are leading the legal challenge. They claim that blocking the funds is illegal and will slow down efforts to achieve clean energy goals. Many states had already begun EV charging projects, which now face significant delays due to the freeze.
